FAQ - Minors under 18 years

What are the rules for free travel for children up to 6 years old?

Children up to 5 years, 11 months, and 29 days old are entitled to free travel, provided they do not occupy a seat, with one child allowed per guardian, in accordance with ANTT resolution No. 1383 of 29 March 2006. It is mandatory to have a travel ticket for identification purposes. The child's guardian must request the ticket at one of our agencies or through our customer service hotline (0800 728 0044).

If the guardian's ticket was purchased through the official Gontijo.com.br website, they can issue it via their login.

Log in, click on the "Purchase History" option, and select the trip for which you wish to issue the child's ticket.

Click on the "Add a child under 6 years old" option on the right-hand side, in the summary of your purchase.

Enter the requested information (document, name, and date of birth) of the child and click on issue ticket.

You will receive the child's ticket in your email and must present it at the time of boarding along with the necessary documentation.
