What are the rules for granting free travel to Low-Income Youth?
Support for low-income youth:
Beneficiary: an individual aged between 15 (fifteen) and 29 (twenty-nine) years who belongs to a family with a monthly income of up to two minimum wages, registered in the Federal Government's Single Registry for Social Programs.
Benefits:
- 2 free seats, 100% discount
- 2 seats with a 50% discount
- Terminal usage fees, toll charges, and meal expenses are not included in the benefit.
Permission:
- Interstate routes
- Conventional class
- No designated seats
Required documents for provision:
- Document proving the Low-Income Youth status, as stated in DECREE No. 8,537, OF OCTOBER 5, 2015
- Official document with a photo
Is there any benefit for students?
No.
According to current legislation, free transportation benefits are only available to elderly people, people with disabilities, and low-income youth.
Why do seniors have difficulty obtaining benefits with a 100% discount?
The benefit of a 100% discount is only available in the conventional class and applies to 2 seats per car.
Trips are made available for sale 45 days in advance, and the demand for this benefit is much greater than the supply. The remaining seats can be purchased with a 50% discount.
What are the rules for granting free travel for people with disabilities?
PERSON WITH DISABILITY OR REDUCED MOBILITYSeats 02 and 04 are adapted for use by people with disabilities, in accordance with current legislation. They are reserved and can only be sold up to 2 hours and 59 minutes before the departure time.
Interstate Line - Benefit available only in the conventional class
To request a ticket, the person must present an official identification document and a card provided by the Ministry of Transport. (Always check the expiration date).
The person with a right to an escort will only be granted this benefit if the card indicates "NECESSITY OF COMPANION".
Intermunicipal Line in CearĂ¡ State
We provide 2 seats in conventional service, upon presentation of the intermunicipal free pass card issued by the State Department of Transit (DETRAN/CE) and an identity document.
Intermunicipal Line in Bahia State
We provide 2 seats in conventional service, upon presentation of the intermunicipal free pass card when the beneficiary is registered with the SJDHDS - Secretariat of Justice, Human Rights and Social Development, along with an identity document.
The person with the right to an escort will only be granted if the card indicates "Right to Companion".
Intermunicipal Line in Minas Gerais State - Only two seats are reserved for elderly or disabled persons, and priority is given to whoever books first according to resolution 46.434
We provide 2 seats in conventional service, upon presentation of a medical report and income proof or the SINDPASSE card, along with an identity document.
Note:
Reservation Characterization: The beneficiary of the free pass cannot reserve more than one time slot for the same day and destination, or for times and days that would make the journey impractical, and constitute control of seat reservations to the detriment of other beneficiaries. The companion cannot travel without the presence of the person with a disability.
What are the rules for granting senior citizen fare exemptions?
Benefit available on CONVENTIONAL busesINTERSTATE and INTERNATIONAL routes
- People aged 60 (sixty) or older, with an income equal to or less than two minimum wages, are entitled to a 100% (one hundred percent) discount on two seats, which must be requested at least 3 (three) hours in advance of the travel time. Other seats with a 50% (fifty percent) discount can be purchased with any notice.
- The senior must arrive for boarding 30 (thirty) minutes before the travel time, under penalty of losing the benefit. The senior must present an official ID and proof of income at the time of the request, preferably the senior card provided by municipal offices.
- Seniors attending with a 50% (fifty percent) discount must cover the costs of boarding and toll fees.
INTERMUNICIPAL routes MG:
- People aged 65 or older, with an income equal to or less than two minimum wages, are entitled to the benefit of free travel.
- The beneficiary must request one ticket per trip, at least 12 (twelve) hours in advance of the scheduled departure time of the vehicle from the line's starting point, and may request an issuance of the return ticket.
- From 48 hours in advance until 30 minutes before the travel time, the beneficiary must visit the ticket office to confirm the reservation, under penalty of cancellation.
- The senior must present an official ID and proof of income at the time of the request, preferably the senior card provided by municipal offices.
