What are the rules for exchanges and rebookings?

Ticket Exchange

AT AGENCY:

The exchange can be made at any agency up to 3 hours before the departure time and you may change the origin, destination, seat, date, and the name of the ticket holder. Changes of ownership can only be done in the presence of the ticket holder or with their original ID or a certified copy. Any fare differences must be paid.


ON THE WEBSITE:

If the ticket was purchased through the official website gontijo.com.br, you can use the same site to exchange the origin, destination, and travel date up to 3 hours before the departure, paying any applicable fare differences.


Ticket Rebooking

For rebooking, the ticket is personal and non-transferable, in accordance with ANTT Resolution 5,652 of January 17, 2018.

At physical agencies, the ticket can be rebooked by altering the travel date, seat, and time while keeping the same origin, destination, and ticket holder, with a 20% rebooking fee and any applicable fare differences.

For intercity routes within Minas Gerais, please note that according to the Supreme Federal Court's decision – ADI nº4.289, if the customer does not travel, the ticket is not valid for any other transaction. However, as a courtesy, we offer customers the option to rebook with a 20% fee and any fare differences.

What is the validity of the ticket?

According to Article 7 of Resolution 4.282/14, tickets are valid for up to one year from the date of their first issuance, regardless of whether they have a specified date and time.
